Ports of Call on Your Cruise
Your beautiful Caribbean cruise takes you to four of the best ports of call in the western Caribbean. In each you can choose which activity you would like to enjoy. Or you may chose to do nothing at
all. It is your choice.
Cozumel, Mexico is full of historical sights because it is the jumping off spot for access to ancient Mayan temples. Multiple National Parks boast world-class snorkeling and scuba. Some sites combine the two: temples and snorkeling. Maybe a catamaran snorkeling trip appeals to you. Or you might want to just stroll the city and shop. It's my prime port for Mexican vanilla extract and hot sauces! Many possibilities exist in Cozumel and I am happy to help you plan how to best use your time in this and every port.
George Town, Grand Cayman is a shopper's paradise! Right from the dock you can navigate to the downtown area and shop 'til you drop. From electronics, to chocolate, to jewlery, to designer
clothing. It's all in Grand Cayman. If a quieter experience is more to your liking, you can have a beach day at lovely Seven Mile Beach. It's just a short drive from the port. Or I can find you a more secluded spot! You can also visit the Blue Iguanas and/or take a historical tour of the island. Nearby Cayman Brac (a small island offshore) is a world- class scuba diving site.
Falmouth, Jamaica definitely requires that you book an excursion. Otherwise, there is no place to explore just off of the ship in the port area, and you will have wasted an opportunity to see this beautiful country. Here is a wonderful opportunity to see Dunn's River Falls. It is quite a site to behold, but does require effort to hike the slippery trail. Otherwise you will want to book a sanctioned island tour to see the interior of the island or visit a beach. You can opt for an adventure on ATV's, a kayak trip, or a leisurely motor coach tour. Just make sure you arrange ahead of time to do something here in Jamaica, mon.
Finally you stop at Labadee, Haiti, Celebrity Cruise Lines' private island. You will see several pictures of Labadee on this site since it is one of our favorite stops. You can zipline, snorkel, rent a sailboat, or just lounge on the beach and read. Cabanas are available to rent here and they are highly recommended for family and friend groups. They gain you private butler service and your own little oasis. Labadee is gorgeous and fun!
Browse through the destination guides located under this Ports tab and look under the "shore
excursion" tab for links to tour providers. You can also book excursions directly with Celebrity once you put down a deposit. And I will guide you every step of the way. Many of the places I mention above are the topics of blog posts at www.susanmcdanielcruisenews.wordpress.com . Let me know what you have in mind and we can make it happen! I do recommend shore excursions. They make your cruise truly memorable and are money well spent. The ports on your cruise are spectacular and I want you to enjoy them as much as possible.
